Well, after about 32 hours and 3 airplanes, we made it to Bangkok! Actually, we arrived last night and spent the night at the Hi-Sukhumvit Hostel only to wake up today to return to the airport so we can fly to Hanoi, Vietnam. It seems crazy that we have to get on yet another airplane but we think it will be worth it. The pictures above were taken at the Atlanta airport at the beginning of our journey at 6 am, Sunday morning. We looked a lot brighter and fresher than we did last night!!
Initial impressions of Bangkok: smoggy, lively, modern, and huge! I think that there are 12 million people living here and you can see them packed into every nook and cranny of the city.
We're not writing much now because we only have a few minutes before our flight but wanted to let everyone know that we're alive and well!
Thanks for the update - we were wondering about your status. All great here with the "bean". She hung in my office today in her home. She is a sweetie! I need to know what day(s) I need to go care for the felines. Let me know. Safe travels to you . Looking forward to pictures.
